Jason Gillette, Owner

Jason Gillette has dedicated his career to serving. From his experiences in the United States Marines overseas, years in sales, health coaching, and public health; Jason now aims to serve in different capacities. After starting his consulting firm, Jason serves communities across the country addressing healthcare and public health concerns. His current efforts are in substance use prevention, community inclusion, health emergent planning and veteran health reform. Jason hosts a podcast called, I Just Want To Talk and is part of REAP an African American men’s philanthropic giving circle committed to improving outcomes in communities of color in Phoenix. Jason also sits on ASU’s Southwest Interdisciplinary Research board, and the Arizona Playworks board, and sat on Mayo Clinic’s Community Advisory board and the Arizona Public Health Association board for four years. 

Dezirae Williams, MPH

Dezirae started her public health career in 2014 working as the Public Health Emergency Preparedness Coordinator in Gila County. During this time she co-managed the Pinal Creek Trail Health Impact Assessment, worked with county volunteers, such as the CERT programs, facilitated staff training, and learned about the PHAB Accreditation process.

 

Dezirae also worked in Public Health Emergency Preparedness as a Planner in Pinal County, mostly focusing on stakeholder and partner relationships. During her time with Pinal, Dezirae had the opportunity to help design several county-wide trainings for internal and external partners. Dezirae was an active participant with the Arizona Coalition for Healthcare Emergency Response, with dual roles as the Logistics Sub-Committee Co-Chair and a Leadership Team member.

 

Dezirae’s favorite roles during and after training and exercise events include the evaluation and improvement planning components. Dezirae values working in roles that allow her to serve others and meet critical needs. She is passionate about improving individual and community health through education, training, and increased public awareness and empowerment.

Julie Augeri

Consultant

Julie’s experience includes assignments with increasing levels of responsibility for intelligence, operations, and emergency response while serving for 29 years as a US Army officer. She worked as an Emergency Response and Continuity of Operations Planner for the Department of Homeland Security and was appointed as the Emergency Preparedness Administrator for the Arizona Department of Corrections. Julie served as the State of Arizona Recovery Branch Manager, continuing her work locally with Coconino County as the Adult Probation Emergency Planner and as the Public Health District Emergency Program Manager.

 

In the private sector, Julie has served as a Statewide Operations/Central Region Manager for the Arizona Coalition for Healthcare Emergency Response and has recently provided support to agencies preparing for pandemic response. Julie has attended multifarious functional and senior leadership trainings with the Federal Emergency Management Agency. She has served as a Continuity of Operations Program Manager and on real-world Incident Command Teams. Julie taught Emergency Planning and Continuity of Operations for Northern Arizona University. She has developed Emergency Preparedness programs and trained response and recovery teams throughout her career.
